Safety
Five-star safety
A maximum five-star Euro NCAP crash-test rating is a sure sign that the new Vauxhall Grandland is a very safe vehicle indeed. Certainly, this well-built SUV is installed with abundant passive and active protective equipment. For instance, multiple airbags are positioned around the cabin while seatbelt reminders are included with all five positions. Furthermore, younger passengers are offered the security of ISOFIX mountings (on outer rear seats) and tamper-proof locks on rear doors.
A wide range of technological aids are included as standard, such as LED headlights, LED taillights and LED daytime running lights, and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Hill-start Assist (HSA). AEB uses sensors to analyse the road ahead, detecting potential collisions and applying maximum brake pressure should the driver fail to react in time. HSA, meanwhile, allows the car to start on an incline without uncontrolled rolling occurring.
